How often are applications received?

Applications are received on a rolling basis. Though you can apply at any time, scholarships are awarded on a quarterly basis. 

Who is remedy for?

Remedy is a scholarship program prioritizing Black and BIPOC women and men who live within the United States.

How many sessions do the scholarships cover?

Scholarships cover 2 sessions per month. Any sessions outside of the 2 are at the responsibility of the grantee. 

What is the length of the scholarship?

Scholarships provides grantees a full year of therapy from the date awarded.

Can SGC match me with a therapist?

While SGC cannot match you with a therapist, we have put together a list of SGC approved therapists who are more than capable of taking care of your mental health needs.

Are we required to select a therapist from SGC’s approved list?

You are not required to select from our therapist database. This database was created as a resource tool to make the search process easier for you. If you already have a therapist in mind, please feel free to utilize them. 

When will grantees be notified? 

Grantees are selected on a quarterly basis and will be notified one (1) month in advance. 

Is there a “by-date”?

Once scholarships are awarded, grantees have 45 days to book their first appointment. 

How much is a voucher worth?

Each voucher is worth up to $120

Where can I use my vouchers?

Vouchers can be used with any therapist in the United States that opts to accept them.

Can vouchers be used for one or more therapist?

Yup! We understand that finding a therapist is like dating. We encourage you to find the perfect fit, if one therapist doesn’t work for you please feel free to use remaining vouchers with another therapist.
