What a time to be alive. Seriously. On May 7th we were illuminated by a flower supermoon in Scorpio. Let’s break down some of these terms. Every year the full moon in May is called the flower moon. According to Space.com, “A supermoon happens when the full moon coincides with the moon's closest approach to Earth in its orbit.” Thus the moon can appear bigger. This big energy can definitely translate to our big feelings during this moon phase especially when considering the impact of Scorpio which rules over deep, dark emotions, transformation, and inner knowledge. So, if you feel like you’ve been going through it this past few weeks you’re not the only one— the full moon in Scorpio is determined to bring your fears to the surface. This is really stressful and isn’t much help while we’re stuck at home with our thoughts and feelings. What comes next? The new moon in Gemini starts a new cycle for all of us.

In this reading, I want to focus on aftercare for the full moon in Scorpio. Although the new moon in Gemini should introduce some more light-hearted energy, this is an unprecedented time of stress, and working with the transformative themes of Scorpio could be healing for a lot of us right now. Additionally, we are entering an eclipse season starting with a lunar eclipse in Sagittarius on June 5th and a solar eclipse in Cancer on June 21. Eclipse is known for inciting rapid change and transformation. Given the past couple of months let’s ask the tarot, what do we do after being confronted with our fears and how do we invoke transformation during this time?

Aries
The Sorcerer

Whether the recent lunations have brought up your fear of stagnation or just merely boredom. The Sorcerer indicated that you are in place for some real manifestation and this can apply to anything. New spiritual heights? Effortless wealth? This card tells us that the world is yours, baby! Utilize this time as you are the sorcerer in your own life. Create what you will and so mote it be.

Taurus
10 of Roses Reversed

The general intensity of these past few weeks has brought up hurt feelings related to familiar relationships or close intimate relationships in general. Here’s the thing, checking in on your relationship could lead to transformation but, only if you are able to advocate for yourself. Let these people know what your needs and boundaries are and if you get a less than supportive response it’s time to exorcise those bonds.

Gemini
The Partisan of Roses

Gemini, you're afraid that you are not measuring up. You’ve been working hard and slowly but, surely seeing progress. In order to reconcile with your insecurities, you must take a deep breath and recognize what you’ve been able to accomplish. Ascending into a bird’s eye view will help you transform into the visionary you’re meant to be. No contest.

Cancer
The Partisan of Goblets Reversed

Cancer, you are experiencing some frustration because you’re finding yourself in an idealized dream state with little to no results. You have goals and dreams that you wish to self actualize but are feeling stuck when it comes to moving your ideas forward. Your dreamy state of mind is beneficial to a point. I don’t want to trivialize this part of the process, in fact, it would be wise to journal about your excitement during this time as it could be a great resource for inspiring yourself later on. However, at this stage, the Partisan of Goblets advises that you create a practical plan for achieving your goals. Get down to brass tax and set a plan for the mundane world in order to mitigate creative difficulties. Best of luck!

Leo
The Hermit Reversed

Leo, you’re so lonely and that just doesn’t fit with your fantasy. There’s a part of this loneliness that you have little control over. Depending on where you reside your city could be ordered to stay at home. The aspect of loneliness that you do have control over is where you direct your attention. The Hermit reversed related to your self-reflection. As it is reversed you could be devoting too much or too little attention to your inner self. In order to transform you’re going to have to face your fear of your own mind. Can you be alone with your own thoughts? And, furthermore, can you set boundaries with yourself?

Virgo
The Wheel of Fortune

You’ve been feeling uneasy about the future. The Wheel of Fortune reminds you that change is coming and has always been there. In fact, things are always changing and will continue to do so. This card can be interpreted in a comforting way for you, Virgo. You are afraid of what's to come. However, the change you anticipate has already been set in motion. In order to transform your fears, you must recognize the freedom in the impermanence of life. This will help you from being overly cautious about the future.

Libra
9 of Roses Reversed

You’re stressed about trying to secure the bag, Libra. Whether the bag is filled with emotional stability, spiritual guidance, or just cold, hard cash. You’ve been working overtime to claim the bag as your own. Your fears around security are coming for a scarcity mindset. To transform you must internally feel worthy of abundance.

Scorpio
4 of Roses Reversed

Scorpio, you, like Libra are dealing with similar fears of scarcity. No doubt in a pandemic when things feel unstable and many of us are losing resources you are feeling triggered. However, the 4 of Roses reversed tells us that you do have resources and that your fear of losing what you have is what plagues your mind. To quote Kit Snicket who says about their own deck and namely this card, “It is a reminder that scarcity is not real– it is created by those who have power–and that clinging to every last cent, afraid that you will lose everything, will only take away your ability to enjoy life. Transform your own perception of scarcity and you will find a way to enjoy life again.

Sagittarius
Ace of Roses

Sagittarius, the Ace of Roses is a positive sign that opportunity is available to you at this time. The only thing that stands in your way is work. During this stressful time, there are so many blocks to productivity. Don’t let your fear of failure paralyze you from claiming what could be yours. In order to transform during this time you need to find a way to inspire yourself to work for it.

Capricorn
The Sun Reversed

Capricorn, you pride yourself on your sensible qualities. You are responsible and ambitious. Yet, the Sun reversed is letting us know that you need some more lightheartedness in your life right now. This may conflict with your hard-working attitude but keep in mind that having downtime, having a good laugh is just as necessary to productivity as the time you spend at your desk. Your fears might correlate with seeming immature or unrealistic. To transform during this time you need to connect with your own sense of youth. Think about activities you used to enjoy and start there.

Aquarius
Strength Reversed

It’s not that you are known for acting tough, Aquarius. It’s more so that you are known for your aloofness. We can keep this between us but, we both know that you have as many feelings as the next person. Even if your true desire is to merge with technology, for now, you are mortal. The Strength card reversed tells us you're afraid to be vulnerable. In order to transform you must recognize the strength it actually takes to be vulnerable. Given your ability to be truly compassionate, I’m certain you have been a rock for many people in your life. Start with them first. Tell them what’s on your mind.

Pisces
Resolution Reversed

Pisces, listen to the nagging feeling that something is wrong. You have doubts about some choices you need to make in your life. The Resolution card is about reconciling where you are now with what you need to do to meet your goals. When the card is reversed it tells us that you are experiencing a fear with your own worth or ability. In order to transform, you must raise your self-esteem. You can start this process by challenging your limiting beliefs about yourself. Only then will you be able to meet your goals.
