Soul Sessions Therapist

Through Soul Sessions, Sad Girls Club offers free group counseling to our community members. As the needs of our community grows so does our need for accredited therapists!

Number of positions to fill: 2

A mental health therapist is responsible for providing diagnostic assessments, therapy, counseling, and support services for a diverse caseload experiencing mental health issues, communication challenges, or family conflict. They are deeply familiar with other services and resources within the community and work closely with them to provide information and support when required.

As a Soul Sessions Therapist you will be required to host 1x weekly sessions for our community. Most sessions include 5-10 members at a time (15 max) and are 45 minutes to and hour. Because a majority of our community members are BIPOC and/or are of the LGBTQ space it is expected that you are knowledgeable in each of their respective issues, are aware of appropriate language when addressing either of the two and have had ample experience in servicing each of their members.

Sessions are held virtually, via Zoom.

Applicant must also:

  • Work in an environment that promotes safety, security and privacy.

  • Be informed of current events.

  • Gather information about community mental health needs and resources that could be used in conjunction with therapy.

  • Serve as a client advocate to coordinate required services or to resolve emergency problems in crisis situations

  • Must be able to work flexible work schedule inclusive of weekends.

  • Be compassionate, kind and personable.

  • Be professional with clear work boundaries.

Compensation: $100 per session
*monthly pay schedule at 4 sessions per month
